Tiger Mountains
Tiger Mountains stretch from southwest to northeast. The length of the mountains in this direction is just over 16 kilometers. In the northeast, the Borokhudzir River and the resort of Zharkent-Arasan bound these mountains.
Tiger Mountains are located in the Panfilov district of Almaty region. On the southwest side of the mountain limited by the Koktal - Saryozek highway. The dominant height of the mountains is 1800 meters above sea level.
On the northwest side of the Tigris Mountains, there is a small intermountain depression, which gradually passes into the Ortatau mountains. Tiger Mountains are composed of chalk deposits of various colors.
The mountains are interesting and picturesque with landscapes of rare beauty. The age of mountain deposits is 60 - 70 million years. Here you can find fossil flora, representatives of subtropical forms of ancient plants.
